I should have checked it first, although I still agree with their story but let me find it elsewhere.

The agreement gives him less than he was offered before the shutdown. It severely restricts where he can build anything. It passed both houses with veto proof majorities. If he declares a national emergence he will be shut down by courts immediately. If he tries to move money around the line item veto supreme court decision will stop him. What he can do is lie like hell and claim he is building the wall at record pace. His cult will believe him.

Got anything to support that claim?

Of course you don’t.

Mighty Nancy has struck out.

Dems played cute politics on this bill, not to mention on National Security as well, they restricted use of the funds to only areas where the local governments are Dem controlled, and then gave local officials veto rights over any construction. Let's not forget, before Trump asked for a wall, the Dems were for it.

Congress won't be able to do much on their own other than try to get payback with cute politics in future bills as the Leader of the Senate has already indicated he will support the declaration.

As for the courts, you can bet every Liberal/Dem group is already Judge shopping to try and slow it or block it, and given their luck at finding activist Lib Judges, it's likely they will find one. But it's not likely that anything they do will hold in the SCOTUS as they have already ruled many times through history that
the laws and Constitution give much deference to the President/Commander in Chief in matters of National Security, and that includes reallocation of funds.

This from his OWN Security Chiefs!!!!

"The distance between the intelligence community and the White House extended to areas that have ignited fierce political debates in Washington.

None of the officials said there is a security crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border, where Trump has considered declaring a national emergency so that he can build a wall."

The majority does not want his wall and especially the way that he is trying to get it!

Our discussion is not about his security chiefs opinion but as to whether or not the Lower Courts can or should try to quash his declaration.

I have no desire for the lower courts to address it. Let the Supreme Court step in as they did when Truman overstepped his bounds. Trump should not be allowed to supercede/override the Congress's Right to control spending!

His own Security Chiefs do not see a serious emergency, so how can he fabricate one?

What has Nancy got to do with this overreach of Executive powers?

I still trust the government is real and not a dictatorship. We shall see how it all plays out Comrade.
