Sure, Richard … here's an indoor shot. I will try to find an outdoor shot, too - which won't be colored to any extent by indoor lighting variables. Not sure I have red-saturated ones, but I have green-purple ones ….

I am not seeing any exif data for this image.

I don't know why, Richard. I checked it before I transferred it. But, also - I DID try to follow up with the outdoor one, I'd promised - and it just would NOT go up … tried for over an hour - here's the cover note:

"There's a bunch of them, actually, Richard - but, it's getting late for me (coming up on 5am) and this is all very time-consuming. Anyway - I promised a green-purple one. This dinosaur at the fair has a scarlet red under-belly and a green top / back layer. If this one doesn't show the problem - nothing does!!!!"

So, clearly - there's some kind of shenanigans going on - possibly, right there at the site!!!!

I'll do a reboot in a lil while. Then try, to get that one, to you, again. If it won't go - the problem's at UHH.

You need to click on "store original" so the exif data can be seen.

Oh, I see, Richard … didn't know that was a requirement. So - THAT's what that's for - huh? … Will try again.

Richard (some time later) - it's still not going up. Sorry … I guess we'll have to skip it ….

It loooks like it was shot under artificial lighting - what white balance did you use?
It is not available for this image although the exposure info (like ISO etc) is.

Richard - I did not even realize that had gone up … after about 20 minutes - I closed the box.

Okay - so - it came out … I will end the message here, and try the outdoors one, again.

I used to fiddle around with WB settings, but, don't anymore. It's always on AUTO, now.

You have a mix here, between fluorescent lighting, and incandescent lighting ….

Considering a lighting mix like that then and auto white balance, it is just OK. Can be corrected, up to a point, with some PPing.
Shooting raw may help, but not always.

Here is an extreme case where the only solution was a B&W conversion.
.

Notice the light source on the bottom right.

To me this looks a little blue (look at the whites). I notice the white balance was set to daylight (bright shadows?), did the camera or the photographer set this? However there are no shadows so if it looks like it is a bit cloudy, hence the blue look. Easily corrected in post processing, and the other colours will change slightly also.

When shooting jpgs you are at the mercy of the camera designer. Take control. This will mean you will need to overide the decisions mde by the camera when shooting.
For best results, when you are not working on a very tight time frame, shoot raw and that will give you maximum control over the final image.
