I wanted to check out the low light capabilities of my iPhone. Yesterday I visited downtown Lawrenceville, Georgia.

When I spotted the hawk on top of the old courthouse I instantly regretted not bringing along my Tamron 18-400.

I read about a guy on Flickr who sold his DSLR and travels the world using only his iPhone...I don’t think I am ready to join him yet.

Nice shots Dean.

I love the images you got from your phone and I fear that the phones will overtake the market possibly sooner than we might imagine depending on the economy's recovery and our ability to manage our wealth.

Nice set Dean. Phone camera’s are amazing! When they reach the point of exposure triangle control it will be tough to justify lugging around a “second” camera. Till then...control is too much fun to quit

After reading the comments here checked my phone, Galaxy s9+ and found controls for white balance, shutter, iso, metering area, flash, picture size, timer, HDR, face shape correction, grid lines, and believe it or not, voice control. The future is now.

The XR has only one rear camera but it’s still quite impressive. I use .snapseed for editing and am thinking about upgrading to Pro Camera for more control in shooting. It adds Manual Mode, RAW capability and other goodies. I might even add a telephoto accessorie. I’ve heard they’re not too shabby for quality if you don’t push them too far. But then I better be careful or I might have to hang up my D7000. 🥴🥴

I just returned from a morning shoot using Slow Shutter Cam. It looks promising and we’ll see. Pro Camera also sounds like a step up from basic live view. I also love Snapseed. I didn’t miss my DSLR this trip, but did bring it along. This adventure with the iPhone is like getting a new camera without the heavy financial investment.

I hate to break the news to you, but I don't believe the 18-400 will work on your iPhone.... 🤣

Thank you. If they come up with an adapter for the 18-400, I may sell my DSLR. 🙂🙂
