I wanted to check out the low light capabilities of my iPhone. Yesterday I visited downtown Lawrenceville, Georgia.

When I spotted the hawk on top of the old courthouse I instantly regretted not bringing along my Tamron 18-400.

I read about a guy on Flickr who sold his DSLR and travels the world using only his iPhone...I don’t think I am ready to join him yet.

Why not, those are beautiful architectural shots with the hawk and lizard being minute enhancements.

Looks very good. Which iPhone do you have? I just bought the XR- it has phenomenal battery life. It won't replace my cameras but it does fill a niche.

Thank you...I have the iPhone 7....only one rear camera. I know yours has 2 rear cameras. I read that they plan to make an iPhone with 3 rear cameras.

It has a portrait mode but I don't think it has 2 rear cameras. The more expensive model has that and I opted out cause of price. The XR was half the cost.

Nice set Dean. Phone camera’s are amazing! When they reach the point of exposure triangle control it will be tough to justify lugging around a “second” camera. Till then...control is too much fun to quit

I stand corrected. Yes, a portrait mode would be a plus.

Thank you. I had no idea until recently what cell phones are capable of. It’s sort of addicting...thank you YouTube.

The XR has only one rear camera but it’s still quite impressive. I use .snapseed for editing and am thinking about upgrading to Pro Camera for more control in shooting. It adds Manual Mode, RAW capability and other goodies. I might even add a telephoto accessorie. I’ve heard they’re not too shabby for quality if you don’t push them too far. But then I better be careful or I might have to hang up my D7000. 🥴🥴
