Lets take a real look at Medicare for all. There are many (usually young) who view Medicare as a free government benifit, aand therefore should be available to all.Several problems with this thinking. Medicare is a paid for by the recipient benefit. While working you and your employer contribute to FICA. This money was supposed to be put into a trust fund for the use by the payers. But it was "stolen" by the feds to make the federal budget look better. Not only that but those on medicare PAY a monthly charge for the insurance. My wife I and I pay about 5 grand a year for medicare and supplemental coverage.If anyone would prefer to live in a single payer I suggest that they should moive there, with 1 proviso- NEVER be allowed to get health care from ANY other source.
