Congratulations, Tom. You'll be amazed and just crazy with excitement for many years to come. I have 3 grand kids ages 22,15 and 8. Been at it a long time.

Congratulations! I immediately upgraded all my photo equipment when my granddaughter was born. Now my basement walls have over 500 photos of her, she is 15 going on 21. Enjoy, they grow up quick.

As you will find out, grandparents and grandchildren will get along famously. The reason? Grandparents and grandchildren have a common enemy.

Here is the story behind how they know it was Nov. 22
My son is an over-the-road truck driver, and he was home for Thanksgiving, which was Nov. 22 and previous to that it was around the beginning of Oct. the last ime he was home, and he was'nt home again till Christmas. So unless the child is not his, it is pretty obvious that Nov. 22 was the date of conception as he was back out on the road again on the 23th....Hopefully this answer's your question....

Big congrats .., as they say .., “we don’t care if it will be a Nikon or a Canon baby ...just as long as he or she is healthy ..., ok .., ok ., I’ll admit .. I’m leaning towards a Nikon Baby ...

In any case ...I’m sure the baby will be a Hasselblad of a bundle of joy ..

Congratulations. Our first, and only, grandchild is now a very active 2.5 year old. While you may be looking forward to photo ops, you better be practicing high ISO, high shutter speed panning techniques. Good luck. Oh and by the way, practice doing compositing in Photoshop. I'm putting together a composite of each year of our granddaughters first years.
