I was very happy to see her on the ground this time. They love to perch on signs and other man made objects. On the final 2 shots, I backed the zoom way down, to try to catch some background waves. I don't know if you will find it distracting (or if I broke any photographic rules) but I just wanted to catch her at the beach with the waves. I hope you enjoy. Gary

in the last two, the waves are very distracting, at least that's my amateur opinion.

Great set. IMO the last two are not the caliber of the first three although they do reveal the actual scene. Your first three are excellent portraits of the owl. Thanks for sharing

Of the two with waves, I prefer the second one. The wave in that case does show how close to the water s/he was. But, you need to practice some more or perhaps merge two photos, one with just the owl and no wave and the other with the wave but no owl. Nice try, though.
