What

Where is your hatred for the mirrorless medium format offerings from Fuji and Hasselblad?

Please stop making everything personal, tdekany.

And please remove the mote from your own eye, before you tell others to do it.

I have several friends who photograph in very dusty locales. They fix one lens to each of their 2 cameras before leaving their cars and they never change a lens in the field. Needless to say this saves a lot of sensor cleaning.

My Lowepro pack has 4 Olympus bodies ( M1 and 3 ELPs ) with attached lenses; NO changing lenses and still lighter than a couple DSLRs. Overkill ? I don't think so as it is still not that heavy with a small trekking tripod hung on the side.

I only have 1 body. I would like to replace mine with my 35 year old body. It worked better than the old one. Oh Sorry, we are talking about camera bodies. Told you my old body ain't working as well. (Too tempting to ignore-just couldn't help myself)

Remember all the photojournalists who used to haul around two Nikon F's -- in the
Vietnam War. Don McCullin's life was saved by his Nikon F. As a long time Nikon F
body user, I can believe that.

Would a D-850 body stop a bullet? Or an Olympus body? Maybe if it was a plastic bullet...

And the Nikon F is lightweight compared to the cameras that Mathew Brady and Carleton Watkins
hauled around.

Hi Julian, ours are champion bred, FLAT SHOD Tennessee Walking Horses. We have raised them for over 55 years, had 77 of them at one time, but quitting now. Too old to keep things going any more. I still ride at 81, but maybe not a lot longer. I had one quarter horse...loved him, buckskin like Matt Dillon rode. He had the easiest trot and short lope I ever sat. I am also an equine artist and I love painting all breeds.

Thanks for the reply, I stopped riding when my buddy "Chief" died, couldn't do it because he was the best horse God ever created!...Julian

I have 2 Sony cameras, the 707 and the HX400v, they both have Zeiss lenses...Julian

I also found out today that this camera does have a MACRO mode, it is in the auto setting (green) at the wide-angle end...Julian (this is the HX400v)

I have different cameras for different purposes.

FF - for landscapes and basically 90% of my shooting. Nikon D750
APS-C - for wildlife when the FF doesn't have enough reach. Nikon D7000, D300
Mirrorless - for traveling light. Sony A6000
Compact - for street photography and pocket camera. Canon Powershot G9X II
Film - for when I feel like shooting film. Canon A1, Nikon N80.

Do I need all of them? No, but it makes life easier. And more fun.

I have three cameras. They are all Sonys' so the menus are very similar. Rx10IV for reach, Rx100VI for compactness and A6300 for lens versatility and Improved images. I couldn't handle learning different menus.

I'd be interested in which models of Sony?...Julian

It's the only reason why I would have more than one camera. I never have a backup camera.
