Can you see the darkened column in the center? This is a 75 inch 4K Samsung. After a month of the runaround they are replacing the unit. Other than evil spirits it's hard to figure out what's causing this.

Looks like some kind of pressure on the screen in that area. Maybe the frame got warped.

it would take the people at Samsung and some expensive equipment to determine what caused that.

Samsung isn't great at honoring warranties. I wouldn't go near one,

I wonder if the LED backlight has failed in that area

We bought a Samsung kitchen package. The dishwasher was faulty from the get-go, the refrigerator’s ice maker continually freezes up (there’s a class action suit about that), the range oven takes forever to heat up, and most repairmen won’t work on them because they can’t get parts in a timely fashion. No more Samsung for me.

Samsung=junk. After two phones that I could never hear anything on even with the volume set to max, and a computer monitor that didn't work right out of the box, Samsung has had their three strikes and are out. Never again!

Plus wasn't it Samsung's clothes dryers that caught fire enough to make it into the news?

Google the issue and you will find several similar problems on samsung TVs from others. Some utube fixes also show up but don’t seem very successful. Best you can get a replacement.

Now you folks are making me nervous. I bought a 49" Samsung TV from Costco a while back. So far no problems with it.

I bought a Samsung computer monitor over 10 years ago. I didn't need it anymore so I donated it to a computer recycler even though it was still working fine after all those years.

That's exactly what it is. You have an edge-lite display, as opposed to a back lit model. Sounds like a lot of unhappy Samsung owners. My 43" is about 5 years old and is still doing fine.

Could be flexed by the wall mount being a bit off. Those wall mounts are usually not precision built.

It's actually mounted on the stand it came with, at the bottom. Samsung has not been able to get a technician in our area so they are sending a replacement. This problem began 11 months into ownership and so far they are honoring the warranty. Fingers crossed.
