As a young man, I recall GM on strike. Suppliers were as a consequence shut down. I worked in a store, business shrank and my hours were reduced. Friends that I went to High School depended on GM paycheck... They ost the homes and cars. That was in Flint Michigan, I am sure it was beyond Flint and Michigan.

I’m afraid that the answer is Trump actually does not care about border security at all. What he cares about is his “base” — specifically, the people who are willing to show up and cheer for him."
