In my experience, those who talk the most are the least able photographers. When great photos like yours are posted, the armchair experts shut up. But that is just my experience on UHH. Naturally, yours maybe different.

Just now seeing this. uhh notifications are inconsistent. I've been talking a lot lately, LOL, but I'm gonna quit talking so much, I promise and another thing, I'm not gonna let you get away with calling my pictures "great." Too much pressure on an old man but thank you kindly anyway. 😀

And now we have it - incontrovertible proof that reflective surfaces do indeed reflect. Only on the UHH!!

Paleeeze, c'mon Patsworld, I'm just an old hack having a little fun here, experimenting in a little of everything on a shoestring budget and occasionally I get lucky and catch one that has a little appeal, but it's more accidental than intentional and I miss a lot more than I hit. You know what they say, "even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then." I appreciate all your kind comments sir, assuming you're a "sir," but I can't hold a candle to a real photographer and make no such pretense. If it's ok with you I won't individually reply to your other comments you left on my older threads that you posted on.

I am flattered that you even looked, let alone left such glowing compliments. "Thank you," he said as he lowered his head and took a little bow and went on to mutter, "devoid of any innate artistic talent, my images are the end result of intentional otherwise unrewarded effort and if I have one of which I am exceptionally proud, it would be the shots of the chickadees that have absolutely no intention of posing for a portrait." I've been shooting for a long time, off and on, have tried a lot of different things, but never with any specific genre long enough to master anything and whatever I do beyond shooting some football and a little wildlife, is the result of seeing images that I sincerely admire and seeing if I can unravel the mystery of how they were done to some small degree.

Not to be discouraging but some of this stuff isn't very easy to figure out when you have no talent or training and while I don't idolize naturally talented photographers as some of them would like, prima donnas as they are, I do admire many of their accomplishments. Having tried a little of everything, I've found the greatest challenge for me is small, fast moving birds that dart in and out of bright and dark areas under "the canopy" of trees and shrubs. In that regard I do have an idol which I'm sure you would appreciate the work of and I refer you to him as living proof of why I'm humble about what I have accomplished and why I cannot, in clear conscience, accept the superlative compliments you've given me for that single afternoon one-time primitive and meager effort admittedly not on an equal footing with a real photographer who's been at it a few years. That's my excuse and I'm stickin' to it. 😁https://fineartamerica.com/profiles/gerry-sibell.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIpPODhPP33wIVhlYNCh2Xcw9xEAMYASAAEgJS0fD_BwE

Huh? Mind explain that to those of us who've not yet had a second cup of coffee this morning? Without a reference to a previous comment, it doesn't seem to be a complete thought, somehow.
