Lovely study of a Beautiful Owl.........that big lens comes in handy....yes?
One thing wit the camera you have to hold it as still as possible, using some sort of support is recommended
Very nice.
I'd heard of owls living in the park in Beverly Hills.
About 1 1/2 yrs ago I was visiting a friend near Gainesville and decided to drive down there and catch the owls on SD card.
The park is huge, I had no idea where to start looking and everyone I asked had no idea what I was talking about.
Glad you got them.
Robert, You have shown some good results with the method you used. do you think by using a Tripod it would have been better?
Don
Beautiful shots. Love the zoom feature. Besides the zoom, how do you like the P1000?
Bill
It is really good in good light, not good in low light, the zoom is awesome, shoots Raw, has several modes, overall I like it, need support for long zooms
Love the shots. I had the P520, then the P600 (weight was perfect for me) and now have the P900. I know I'd love the P1000 but I also know it would be too heavy for me.
Really nice shots. The Zoom 1024 entry has what looks like a smudge across the owl's face but probably is an out of focus branch. Does that make a part of the brokeh?
I've been getting better with mine and like it in most conditions. I havent had much success with manual. Cant seem to do what my D7100 is capable of. The other settings are good. I like the zoom, the birding setting, moon, etc.
Your owl is beautiful and you are correct about support with the long zoom..
