Yep. I'm in the process of re-photographing hundreds of old B&W family photographs. The job would go a lot faster if I could just take the shot and move on to the next, but that's not the way it's going.

I hear you😊

That is about the sum of it. My dad keep looking for bank robbers or horse thieves but all he found was farmers and shopkeepers. Not bad!

Genealogy is a fascinating subject.
I formed an opinion recently: We have no say in coming into this world, we have no say in how we depart this world.
We have to do as we're told in between. About sums it up??

I have been going through my late father's genealogical records and old photographs and made this arrangement with the old family Bible. This has 4 or 5 generations of my dad's family in photos. I can look at my grandfather and see my dad. I can look in a mirror and see a little of both of them.

By the sheerest coincidence, both sets of our parents are immigrants. My mother did not speak English all that well. So I and my brothers and sister speak Italian. My father was from Ireland so no problem there. I often wondered how the hell did they meet and stayed married for over 50 years. My wife's mother was Russian so she and her sisters speak Russian. When she joined Anscentry.com we would have been dead in the water if we did speak or have some understanding of a different language. When you check into your family lineage in foreign countries English is a so what.

Artfully done. Well arranged and lit. I'd be proud to frame and hang it.
