I have been going over a few of the shots from last year that I told myself to revisit when I had the time. That time is here. So here are a few I took the next step with. Let me know what you think.
P

I spent a lot of time in manholes like this. Only most were much smaller.

#1 doesn't go with the others, and probably doesn't go in Landscape Forum I think that one would be most effective in a storytelling series.

#2 - I'm very familiar with that type of irrigating equipment and I really love how you've captured spray coming in from both sides, along with the stunning background scenery.

Molokai is another winner. The composition and wide aspect, the contrast of oranges to blues - beautiful. Looks like banding in the sky. I forget exactly why that happens - too much editing on a jpg maybe?

#1 was intended as a Cityscape. Hopefully not a total failure there.
Molokai was stitched from 5 photos and that may be the reason for the banding. Had not noticed it before.

Ah ha, well that was certainly thinking outside the tiny box that encloses my pea brain

No, your brain is just fine. My thinking goes way out there sometimes and your comment about using photos for the storytelling is not far off the mark. That photo and several others make up a series of old photos I'm working on highlighting my last years at AT&T. Planning ahead for the wake. I have seen some of the hinkey things the survivors put in the video and photo display at funerals, I will put some bits for them to put in mine so that the attendees won't be bored.

#1. Sometimes it is interesting to know what is going on behind the scene and even under the "landscape"

And sometimes. Like now, maybe I really do not want to know.

I like how you captured the irrigation. I've seen those scenes for a long time. Now that our fields are growing houses instead of crops, I miss them. I appreciate the spaciousness of the Molokai shot.

Denali Evening is fantastic. I like the landscape section so I get to the kind of thing I like without going through other things I find less interesting.

I had not seen that type of system until this last year. I have several that I like, this being one of the favorites.
The Molokai pano was one I just had to make. I was intrigued by the way the clouds enveloped the dormant volcano. Sort of reminded me of some old movies.

I have been working on that shot for months to get it where I wanted it to be. To me, It has an almost otherworldly feel.

You could use it for a bit of fun and include a caption like "Apollo moon missions aren't what they used to be...."
