Well, I didn't actually "shoot" it this year, but I did process it to Black & White this year. So, I guess you could say I "made" this one this year and it is my favorite.

Fallen Cedar on Avalanche Creek, Trail of the Cedars, Glacier National Park, Montana.

So it was this year's creation? Near enough . Thanks for posting, KT.

This was taken in January at my daughter and son-in-law's farm and was included in the 2019 calendar put out by our local insurance company. I consider it to be a minimalistic landscape.

That's what landscapes are like sometimes - sparse, and in this case vivid as well. Thanks for posting, Sue.

It might speak "minimalistic" but, it does it with class.

Thanks - I waited two years for this combination of sky and snow.

Thanks for the nice wish. I'm sure the light will be there sometime. Either way, it's a great deal of fun chasing it.

Well, here's mine. It's one of my favorite places on the planet. It is SO rare to see this sleeping volcano "destapado" (uncovered) from its normal cloud cover. Measure from the center of the earth, it's the tallest one. But since it's located at the fattest part of the earth, and measurements are taken from sea level, not from the center, it doesn't get that title in the books. It's called Chimborazo, and it is located just outside Riobamba in the province of Ecuador named for it.

Black & white is a medium I like to work with and observe but, I think this image works better in color. 1st, it is really in the vane of the classic western artists and 2nd because in B&W the buffalo are diminished.

Thanks Rich Your thoughts are well taken, and I think now as you. The bison were very dark as the sun was just falling below the horizon. RBorud

Thanks wham for your kind thoughts. I will keep them in mind when things get a bit too slow. RBorud

Sometimes an apparently simple shot can tell us a lot about the character and essence of a place.

I'm compelled to note a bit of irony, my image was a composite stitch of 10 shots. 5 over 5
