Pleasing colors and lighting. Did you try any other versions / points of view? Such just lower from this same distance with less green above the grass? Or both closer and lower where some of the nearest stocks were isolated against the background from a view looking upward?

really good advice - different points of view on the same subject can often times reveal shots we didn't see at first - different distances, DOF, angles, etc. Good on ya, mate!

Beautiful light and contrasts. I tried a couple of crops, especially thinking a vertical aspect might work, but for the distance and perspective at which you shot, I ended up preferring your composition. Re Paul's suggestions, I saw a topic where 4 photos were posted of the same subject, each one getting closer 'til the last was nearly abstract. It was very effective!

Thanks Paul. I do have other shots but not from a lower perspective. Some days I just can't get down.

Thanks Linda. See I have been paying attention.

I will go through my other photos and see what I can come up with. Maybe a tryptic.

Being an M43 photog I am probably biased towards that format - but by cropping from the left of your pic, and a little off the right, so that the pic is closer to 4/3 format seemed to create more impact on the lovely light from the grass.

I like the touches of color in the tall grass.

Very nice. You had the eye to catch the right light.
It is a simple, outstanding capture.

I like the side or back lighting a lot. It also makes the grass pop for the background. I would like to see more space on both sides. If you were too close to do so, than two or three shots stitched together into a panorama might work very nicely. Final note. I would like to see the grass sharper than what it is. If this were a post-Impressionist painting, I would say fine but for a photograph, I prefer sharper for this particular scene.

Thanks for posting.

Never have a problem getting down. I can always fall. It is the getting up that is the hard part. Just saying. . .

This is one of the few shots I didn't crop but it might could benefit from a little more. I will play with it and see. Thank you for commenting.
