Good point.
I'll look carefully at their site to see whether they've got some way of monetizing their technology.
Their address is given as:
BYTEQ e.U.
Loewelstrasse 12/36-37
Vienna 1010
Austria
...
I agree everything looks legitimate once I was able to do research from my computer too. Warning was from my phone based strictly on domain extension. Thanks for sharing link. Limited use now with 500x500 pixel output but I signed up for newsletter to see how their future developes.

The hacker does appreciate you allowing access to your processor - it's now part of a bot that's busy hacking Mastercard.......

Sorry, but I don't see that happening.

I uploaded an image file. Period. I also have a gatekeeper application, so nothing else goes out without my permission.

note that output is limited to 500 x 500 pixels.
much too small for serious work.

I saw the article on the PetaPixel.com website:
<https://petapixel.com/2018/12/18/remove-bg-is-a-website-that-removes-backgrounds-from-portraits-in-seconds/?mc_cid=98d06b223c&mc_eid=a8b0825f08 > which describes the service.

Yes, image size is limited to 500x500 pixels (great for dating site portraits and avatars for social media and forums) and will probably remain free to attract traffic and publicity to their website. After getting rid of kinks, they will probably have a sliding scale depending upon the file size. Cheers. Ed

You can do silly things with it--judicially choosing your image.

It saves the stripped file as a .png, so you can usually overlay it on another image.

I like it. Hi Mark! Bernard Wilson: class of 68!

It might be helpful to note that the service requires a person to be in the image. It would not process the photo below (which I have been trying to do with varying success over the years) despite there actually being a person in the photo...

Are you trying to separate the hand statue?

Do you know if this works in Elements too, or just the full Photoshop program?
