I'll start with my questions first. What goes through the mind of an autistic child? Looking at these images you would see an ordinary boy. But this is a story about a child abandoned by his parents, growing up with grandparents, since he was 2 years old. He didn't speak his first word until he was 5. He had to learn sign language to communicate what he wanted until he began to speak. He still struggles with scholastics, and socialization, but now excels in computer sciences and reading. He's shown some improvement with socialization as the last image shows. He had several lines to say in last night's church play, and managed to play his part and say his lines on time and beautifully.

For the Challenge.....

I am just amazed at display designors as they come up with something "different" each season. This was a Christmas display at LLBean's.
These brown cardboard pieces are cut like a snowflake in varying sizes. A hole is in the center. They are stacked on a pole (covered with a
tube-the red) to keep them spaced. What a different "Christmas Tree" it is !!! OK, are you ready to make one????

More...… Another "artistic" fashion design display!

These were at Hall's ladies apparel dept. store in Kansas City. "What's in the bag, Santa?"

This is an angel tree in the Hallmark Museum, from the mid 1960's. Among the "lace" tiers are the words "Merry Christmas" in various languages.
