Since you did not use the "quote" and I have only seen one vest, mine, the answer is no. But the vest is super light and thin, so you can wear a day/back pack. The vest doesn't get in the way. And the camera doesn't swing around.

Has a Captain Canon Camera Commando sort of look. LOL

I agree, but am picturing the vest with shoulder straps, and a day pack with straps. Seems like it would be uncomfortable.

The carriers are great but there is one issue I have had, the attachment to the bottom of the camera will not stay tight.

Regarding the strap issue - the peak designs clip attaches to the back pack strap. It works well for me: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1086507-REG/peak_design_cp_2_capture_pro_camera_clip.html/?ap=y&gclid=Cj0KCQiAr93gBRDSARIsADvHiOqL81FT_bvpl4xBEDklu7-9HyXNuKxB5nwwNW8iQRxQg0Lnb3m9bB0aAvmqEALw_wcB&smp=Y

I am in a "mood" and have been thinking this since the thread started.
I manage my camera(s) just like I used to manage a classroom. Very strictly: with rewards for good behavior. (Classroom I used reading stories or movies the day before a break started.)
"You are not allowed to fall on the hard ground or bang against a rock or tree and get broken! If you don't follow my rules there will be no new battery in your stocking for Christmas."

I also enjoy taking some nice pictures along the way. The easiest is to use my phone camera, but obviously very limited on what I can shoot.
The thought of my Canon hanging around my neck while clambering over some of the trails does seem like a good idea.
Does anyone have a system for keeping the camera handy, but also secured hands-free?y wife is a speed demon when hiking, so unpacking the camera from the backpack and shooting would leave me in the dust!

I bought a really nice fanny pack in the hunting section at Bass Pro that works great. It holds a body and the 24-70 and the 100 macro lenses, extra batteries, flash and cord for off camera flash, a water bottle, trail mix, etc.

I am looking at sling bags with stabilizing straps to carry D5600, three lenses, and tripod. Ready access is not as fast but more equipment (lenses and tripod).

Since you use Canon you might consider an M50 with one general "walk around" lens, it is light and tiny enough to fit in a large pocket or a belt pouch. Add an adapter and your other Canon lenses will work on it when circumstances allow.

PS: Tell your wife it isn't a cross country race, slow down and smell the wild flowers or talk to the cut birds and animals - while you take pictures - maybe even some of her that aren't from behind while running to keep up.

Thanks! I'll have a look.
So, you've seen my pictures then

Not at all. The vest is mostly webbing that lets air circulate. Very comfortable with a back pack. Cotton carrier is a lot more money than the nicad, but they are similar.

I love my nicad.........

One day you will have to get one of her face so if any of us run into her we will recognize her. Maybe across the table while eating.
