Everyone has had such nice things to say about Leaf, her new spot in my life, and I want to thank you. For those of you who missed the first post, here is a shot taken of her on Thanksgiving Day, less than 24 hours after I first laid eyes on her. She is indeed a striking beauty, and boy does she have a personality--we say she is a bulldog in a kitten's body. She spends all of her waking hours practicing her hunting skills, which is why she'll be an indoor cat; all the other inhabitants of this house are constantly being stalked and attacked. How do the dogs feel about her? I think it's a combination of dismay and wondering what they did wrong to be punished so. My poor old Ted has a very long tail which Leaf is always after. She has taken over the other dog's (Chongo's) bed. Luckily my older cat Oliver seems to welcome a new feline, and there have been some wild chase scenes around this small house. Leaf is incredibly fast, and as bold as a terrier.

She is also, occasionally, indescribably sweet. Then she gets a second wind...I hope to be sharing photos and stories for a long time to come.
