Several of you viewed my post from a few weeks ago featuring photos of the tiny kitten who had found my house and was invited in. I called her Leaflet because of the way she seemed to blow in, and because she looks as if she has an orange leaf stuck to her forehead. You'll be glad to know she's here to stay, her name shortened to Leaf, and that she's turned this household full of oldsters on its head. Here are two crummy shots, taken with a flash in a high-contrast setting, one out of focus. I just wanted you to see how she's grown and settled in, and how she's lost that terrified, out-of-her-element look in her eyes. I find myself wasting all kinds of time getting silly videos of her with my cell phone--but I don't mind.

Do you have a stocking to hang for her? Filled with cat treats, toys and maybe some Fancy Feast.
She is for sure. And she's almost never still, so it was a small miracle that I got these shots.

My house is her stocking. She has re-appropriated the dogs' toys and even uses one of their bowls to climb inside and twirl herself around. There is not much sanity left around here.

Good on you! We've adopted so many feral cats that if I could have a buck for each one, We've more that ten bucks. Nice photos of Leaf. chase

That's certainly true in Leaf's case. The flip side is that she's an unexpected gift in herself who has brought delight to this stuffy home.

Thanks. She's a beautiful kitten and these photos don't do her justice. I'll keep working on it.

YAY!!! Glad she has her forever home!!! Give her hugs and kisses from me!!!
I hope you keep the photos coming. I would love to watch her grow up. She is beautiful now and I bet she will be gorgeous when she is grown.

How do the dogs feel about that?
Years ago we had the opposite - 5 cats and we introduced a2 lb 10 weekold Jack Russell puppy who missed her Mom and 4 siblings - she wanted the cats to play!!!!
She found you! You both sound very lucky for that.
