I was down there last week. Ready to go back to warm weather. 😀. Gatorland is a good place to visit as well as others mentioned. They have a bird sanctuary there as well. Very family oriented. Look up places that have been mentioned and see which ones are what you are looking for.

Wow, the Dali museum responded quickly yo my question. With an enlightened position!

Hi Larry ---

We do allow photography inside and outside the museum. Sometimes certain works are specified with signage that reads "No Photos Please", but other than that, you're welcome to take photos.

Flash and tripods are not allowed.

There is a wildlife refuge at Lakeland, east of Tampa, that is simply spectacular and attracts photographers from all around the country. I can't remember the exact name, but it's popular enough so that you should be able to find it. I was there in mid-November as part of a speaking gig at Florida Southern College, and the place had lots of visitors with long lenses.
