I wouldn't carry the same lens for street or mountains, these are completely different situations. Its not realistic to expect one lens to do both equally well. You could carry a superzoom if willing to accept the compromises. I would not.
For the street I would carry my 28mm f2 because its small and makes an inconspicuous package.
For mountains my 100-400mm f4.5-5.6.

early in this post,I said I would try to “walk-around” with my 80mm Macro, by fuji, & I would take the 2X extender along, essentially giving me two choices (80 &160) I’m glad that I had the 16-50mm zoom with me. Consequently; I just don’t think that I have a “ONE-LENS” that would do the job right, and I have 5 differant fuji lenses & 19 differant Pentax lenses. Maybe you could “DO-IT” (one-lens it) walking around in a gymnasium.

"Walking down the street" and "in the mountains" are very very different. Street probably my 18-35 1.8, mountains my 17-70.
