I shoot with a D500 and a D810. I get good results using the Nikon 24-70 f/2.8; the 70-200 f/2.8; the 200-500 f/5.6; and the 105 Micro f/2.8. For landscapes, you would be very pleased with the performance of the Nikon 24-70 f/2.8.
At one time, Nikon had their lens "trinity". 14-24, 24-70, 70-200 all 2.8's. i bought 2 of those for a d750. both superb. i never got the 14-24 but heard it was a benchmark lens. They are all metal, built like tanks, made to last. I have older versions of the lenses, but used, you will save a lot. You won't go wrong. And, they are all very sharp, great color saturation. I use my 24-70 2.8 (no VR but I don't need it) to shoot weddings, events and even model/actor headshots (at 70mm). Good luck! As a side note, I was shooting with another photographer who is a pro - weddings, events etc. He has multiple lenses and cameras and he was using his Tamron 24-70 on a Nikon d4 to shoot a model with me. I was using my d750 with the Nikon 24-70. Both took great pics and both lenses have been used heavily BUT, the Tamron's rubber grips were falling off and it didn't seem to have the heft of the Nikon. So, 3rd party lenses are a personal choice and I'm not trying to offend others who have 3 party lens - I also have some. Just an observation.
Thanks to everyone for your suggestions.

The Sigma art series 24 to 70, f2.8. is tack sharp on my Nikon D810 and 750. The Sigma Art series lenses are very good and have good ratings.
Thanks for your suggestions. The recommendations are just what I was looking for.
The best used Nikon zooms for the money are the manual focus 25-50 f4, 35-70 f3.5; the autofocus 35-70 f2.8, 35-105 f3.5-4.5, 70-210 f5.6D and the 28-105 f3.5-4.5. the exceptional VALUE manual focus primes are, 20mm f4, 28mm f2.8 ais, 35 f2, 50 f1.8, 85 f1.8, 55 micro and 105 f2.5 or 105 f4 micro. The 35mm DX f1.8 G works great on FF and can be had for small change compared to the 35mm FX.

Hi, I shoot with a Nikon D750 and a Canon EOS 1. At this time I only have the 24-85 Nikon lenses and am disappointed with basically everything about the lenses. I wish to upgrade with either zooms or fixed range lenses. I don’t mind used lenses. At this time my budget is 2K. Suggestions please. Thanks
I would look at the Sigma 24 f1.4 and/or the Sigma 24-35 f2.

With all due respect, if you are using the 24-85 lens and no other it is very possible that you are limited in your photography. You did not say what type of photography is your favorite.
I used a 24-85 and it did its part with nice images when I did mine but only one lens is kind of limiting except if you are learning the lens to make future decisions on what optics to buy. Modern professional zooms are very sharp, the Nikon 14-24 and the 24-70 come to mind. I am sure you know that prime lenses in general have a slight edge in sharpness and a cheap and classic example is the 50mm f1.8 lens. Zooms, I am also sure you know are very convenient because using different focal lengths in their manufacture it is easier to take a shot without changing lenses.
I wish I could be more useful but not knowing about your favorite subjects it is very difficult to make any recommendations.

The Tamron 10-24 might not be f2.8, but is quite sharp and not as expensive.
The OP has as full-Frame camera.
The only Tamron 10-24 I’ve seen is for DX (APS-C)
Are they making a full -frame version now?

Some would say the Nikon 16-35mm f/4 is an excellent choice for landscapes and interior shots. I believe Canon also has a pretty highly rated equivalent.

I had the 14-24 at work.
The 16-35 would have been used a lot more if I had one of those instead.
