It was the punitive measures and r********ns after WW1 that harmed the people of Germany that made them grasp at anything to climb out of their imposed hell. The world learned a lot by that mistake, and the former enemies are now allies after WW2.

Putting ones own house as a priority is something everyone does, it's what they do with the resulting surplus that defines them. Last year we gave away 50 billon dollars in foreign aid. But another way is to enhance trade- where everyone benefits which results in way more financial help- but a good deal is one where both sides prosper- not just one. Tell me, when you go to the "pitch", do you root for the better team, or do you root for your own? When a call goes your way even when it is a bad call- do you boo until the ref's reverse it? Do you even keep score? if you do- you are selfish.

Brexit is in no small part about Great Britain not liking decisions made by other EU nations that they must abide by- a big one was the refugee crisis and accepting huge amounts of refugees who do not wish to become part of their respective countries- but migrate their own into it. The EU has some looming problems in its future- I don't blame the people of Great Briton for wanting to avoid them. We'll probably have to join forces with you some day have to go back, and clean it all back out.

So I'm rooting for you and thus ourselves... see how it works?
