yep, same here. My iMac is late 2015 and it crashes repeatedly, especially in Safari. Plus this is the first Mac OS where Aperture doesn't work right. I've tried everything, short of a reinstall (though I believe Aperture is finally done). Luckily I have a MacBook that I haven't upgraded to Mojave so I'm still functioning photo-wise. I'll probably wait to see if the Luminar DAM works for me (due in mid-December) and if not, go to Lightroom, which I've tried and don't like at all.

You might want to take a look at ON1. I recently looked at a trial, liked what I saw and bought a copy for my iMac.

I still use Lightroom as my starting point, but ON1 has some nice features that are easy to work with. Being able to mask and work in layers is very handy during editing.

I feel that Mojave doesn’t open raw files as rapidly as previous versions. I have a Mac tower that is loaded, that isn’t the issue.

I'm very happy with my Canon DSLRs but the Canon utility sucks. Move along to something with broader bandwidth. I suggest Phase One Capture One

The Canon utility to download pictures onto Mac no longer works after I updated my Mac operating system to Mojave. Solution?

I had a problem when I upgraded, too. I called Apple Support and they had me reinstall the OS. That fixed the problem. Give them a call.
