Keep mid June to mid July in the back of your mind!
Great capture, Jim! It was a mob scene at Zion a month ago, I hoped it would calm down.

I love the composition. I assume he means that the Watchman is the focal point, but it's a small part of the image, but who knows. He sounds like sour grapes. I like the leading lines of the river, and the side mountains pointing in and down. The bridge is a great vantage point and I don't think there's one better for that shot, even if it is popular. I'd bet that of the myriad of shots taken around there, yours is "top-shelf" due to the timing, lighting, composition, etc. You took the time and effort to be there, compose the shot, executed it and did the postprocessing. Well done. It's frame-able. Don't let some curmudgeon's comments dampen your spirits.
Duane I appreciate you commenting and respectfully disagree with FStoppers take on this scene...what we are doing as individual photogs is bringing home memories and, bringing home the best image we could muster. Besides, it is a fun outing and I took approximately 300 images with four different cameras from many different locations while in Zion. Don't think any of my photos from this Zion trip are unique to anyone other than me. If you have the ability to climb into the remote areas of Zion you may find the scenes you covet...no different than Yellowstone or Yosemite. Does/would FStopper have the same take on Yosemite's El Capitan or similar icons...

It wasn't that bad the evening I stopped there, mid-week may have helped although Zion was very well attended and the crowds were huge. Thanks for your comments and glad you stopped by and enjoyed!!
