I also used to use Apple to produce my books. Quality was fabulous. Last spring I created several books at once, ordered on Apple, the quality was terrible ! Poor paper quality, the images were not sharp, nothing looked good. After several complaints they refunded my money. I have no idea who produced the books but they have made some obvious changes.

Blurb worked well for me. I didn't read instructions or view tutorials and results were greater than expectation.

I don't speak Mac, but have used Shutterfly many times with good results on a Windows PC, as have our daughters. We have also used Shutterfly for calendars several times with good results.
