No, I got used to it right away and could not be without one now. I use my pistol or hand grip for all my shots. They only weigh about 2-3 ounces.
See my photo below showing my camera/lens/extender/hand grip. That's about 8 lbs. worth.

Your work just gets better & better each time. This one is truly magnificent and your gear speaks loud & clear......I'll be saving my nickels for a similar rig in the distant future . Not many of us have the skill to Hand-Hold shots like this one but I can only dream of it some day. Thank you and keep up your levels of excellence sir.
