Hand held @ 600mm. Distance was about 125-150 feet.

Canon 5Dsr - Canon 300 2.8 II = Canon 2x III - 1/800 - f/10 - ISO @ 640.

I appreciate your good comment, tiphareth51. The Eagles are only here for about 6 weeks while they feed on our spawning salmon, then they are gone.

Absolutely gorgeous shot, as usual, Regis! Since my joining UHH, your Idaho eagle shots continue to be a real treat. And it’s interesting how your equipment suite has evolved over the last view years.

Beautiful! I love to see the eagles and we actually have a few in our area that get spotted on occasion, not nearly enough, and I do thank you for sharing your wonderful photography with us.

I like sharpness in my photos and that is why I moved up for my current camera and lens. The Canon 300 2.8 II prime lens is still hand hold-able and is razor-sharp. I like to move around a lot and not be tied-down to a tripod.
Thank you very much, 47greyfox.

I thank you very much, Debbie Smith. We only have these Bald eagles for about 6 weeks while they are feeding on our spawning salmon and then they are gone till next year.
So, I try to get as many Bald Eagle shots as I can, weather permitting.

You must be, in addition to an outstanding photographer, a very strong man to handhold a 600 mm cannon and get such sharp photos!
