Ed actually looks pretty healthy for an older cat. I just accompanied my Mom to have her 16 1/2 year-old cat euthanized. He'd been ill for about three years but not in obvious discomfort, just steadily declining and not going to get better. He weighed 4.1 lbs. Ed is doing just fine.
