You have more than enough memory with what you already have. I shoot RAW only with a D810, have traveled many times to Italy and would be comfortable traveling with three 64GB cards, and I probably would only use two of them.

Sounds like you’re well armed. And they sell them in Europe too.

It's funny how we tend to think that we have to bring everything with us when we travel. You can buy stuff virtually anywhere in the world.

Travel advice -
No fanny packs
No garish backpacks
Cover the Nikon name on the pentaprism with black gaffer tape.
Steel cable reinforced camera strap from Pacsafe.
No foldable maps, navigate with your Smartphone like the rest of the planet.
Buy a hat from a local football team.
Purchase a local newspaper, not USA Today, and keep it in the outside pocket of your bag.

Raw files on the 7100 are 30Meg. My math says you can shoot about 12,000 photos! I think you're in good shape.

Good Morning, I realize this is a very subjective question but asking it anyway.
I leave Saturday for 2 weeks in Italy (Florence, Venice, Sorrento, Capri, and Rome). I have (5) 64gb SD cards and (2) 32gb cards. I won't have any way to upload pics to a device to free up space on the cards during that time.
I shoot with a Nikon D7100 in Raw format only. Do I need to buy more SD cards? Thank you. Joy

On my recent trip to Italy I took over 5000 images in Jpeg. * and very often went to a 20X30 print. Do you plan to print larger than that?

I was there last month for 18 days and shot 4700 potential keeper photos with 8 32s while using a D750 & Lumix G9. I did cull the obvious bad shots each night but I use a backup card all the time in slot #2. Your D7100 will get a lot more images than the D750 and fewer than the G9. I usually shoot about 400 shots a day and keep about two thirds of them. Your experience may be better than mine. I think you are set with what you have. Have fun & good luck!

Very good advice on keeping a low profile to guard against thieves, pickpockets, and terrorists.

It depends on how you shoot.
Figure out how much storage (JPEG or RAW+JPEG) for your image setting (ie. ≈30 Meg for RAW+JPEG in my camera) and divide it into your total storage capacity (384 Gb). That will tell you ABOUT how many images you can take with what you have.
Example: 384,000Meg/30Meg =≈ 12,800 images. By 14 days is about 900 images/day.

Or about 1 image every minute of your 'awake' time!

Big issue it to travel light with what you need. No more. I have been in Italy many times and that is a lot of traveling.
You should be alright with what you have in cards. But more is better. Enjoy. Watch your gear. Thieves at places tourists go.
People are wonderful so dont let that bother you.

Oh, and bring your waders when you visit Venice.

While buying 5 cards might run you $100, keep in mind that you are probably spending a lot more on the trip itself. You might also want to get a case for the cards. Oh, and when you are done with a card, flip the write protect lock. Not so much to prevent accidental overwriting, but it makes it easier on a trip when you forget which cards are blank.

I have a Nikon D7100 and on trips I use a different 16gb card for each day of the trip in slot 1 and a 32gb card in slot 2 which I change every 2 days for backup. I also always carry a couple of extra cards in case I shoot enough to fill them. Thus on a 14 day trip I took 16 16GB cards and 8 32GB cards.
I have only had to use the backup 32GB card one time, but it really saved me.

Wow, now that should keep you busy, but I would also carry extra Camera Batteries (charged), do not go " Cheap" on batteries, Cheap batteries may majorly disappoint you. Remember electric outlets are different in Europe too. Get a power converter.
