That is a possibility.

The image in the our right foreground is of a metal sculptured horse's head. A metal sculptured young girl's head, looking down, on our left.

Thanks.

Ansel Adams once said, "There is nothing worse than a sharp image of a fuzzy concept". With all due respect, in this case, we have a fuzzy photograph of a concept which is not quite ready to reveal itself. The sharp part of the image is conversely fuzzy in concept.

If I am photographing a mountain, I would want it to be sharp, as well.

It's OK to say "I don't get it."

That helps but maybe it’s just too “busy” for me? What’s the structure on the left?
I’ve taken similar photos with a story in mind that others didn’t “see”; maybe that’s what happened here.

You have to think to appreciate this picture. There is no right or wrong story, but I expect everyone that looks at it may come up with their own and there is nothing wrong with that. You can make up your own context whether it is right or wrong.

Again and with my apologies there is no story. I can appreciate that you want there story to be there but it simply isn't there at all. That same woman could be thinking a million different things in her mind, forgotten past, may have no relevance at all. The foreground is a mass of not in focus something that may or may not have any part of the picture. The woman could be photoshopped out of your photo and placed in any other photo with again, no relevance to that photo either. Forgive me but there is no story, no composition, nothing I can see. I can appreciate what you are trying to accomplish but it isn't there. My apologies for being cruel but even with you explaining the photo to me I can see nothing. Sorry.

It is a wall of a tent at the Art fair. I found it to help with the sense of transition of time, separating the "past" from the "present".

"Busy" is a fact of life. So this also plays into tying in Reality in the shot. Take a moment and try to focus at a distant object through a "tunnel" of objects. You may understand why I left the shot the way I did. It worked with the temporal aspect I was seeing.

Photography is not something that should be compartmentalized with rigid rules. It is a form of communication with its own many languages and interpretations. I debated whether to work this as "street photography". But the view was more along the lines of an impressionistic painting. (I stay away from Cubism!)

As I responded to another poster, it is OK to just say "I don't get it." Some images do require a certain path of experience to understand its import. I always take the opportunity to talk to Artists when I can't pick up on the story in their work. Just because I do not understand, it is not the job of the artist to adjust his presentation. Though I do take the time to understand when explanations are given. (Something I do that I consider to be a result of my being multi-lingual.)

Also, there are the times where explanations will fail. When I come up against a "wall", I will walk away and revisit at a later time. Sometimes even that might not work.

I do appreciate your comments and strive to reply. I recognize that I may be missing the mark.

PS., I do enjoy Cubist works. I just can't imitate its form in my photography.

That is fine.

In some of my comments above I've striven to give an idea of what I saw.

Thank you for looking and your thoughts.

This probably should have been posted in "For Your Consideration". There, you'll get all kinds of comments about all different elements of your photo, and sometimes they go on endlessly. And most of them pretend that it is "art". Yeah, right!

Thank you for your critique.

I placed it in the right folder.
