And that is exactly what is wrong with us at this point. Your first suggestion is carry a gun. For what? To kill someone? That is your first thought? If that is true then you are what's wrong with our society. I carry my camera, and I do not own a gun. And I am 75 years old, served in the military for 12 and 1/2 years, and am quite content to just carry my camera and keep taking pictures.

To carry a gun to kill someone is horrendous; but to carry a gun to protect oneself and loved ones is not. Scared when someone carries a gun? Must be terrible to be around a cop because he is open carry all the time on duty.

Your afraid of the inanimate object that a person has.

How do you feel about people who are afraid of you,for carrying a camera because you could be taking pictures of their children? Is that a real reasonable fear for them - knowing yourself? They have a feeling about you, without knowing you. Indoctrinating themselves with fear for no reason - RIGHT?
Yes you could slam someone over the head and kill them with a camera, or innocently take a few picture then lure the kid into a alley and ... . Both of these scenarios are criminal offense for those who misuse the inanimate object.

Do not own a gun - your privilege! But your first thought is that carrying a gun is to kill someone. Who is really the one with unsubstantiated fears?

If you remain calm, cool and keep your head while people all around are panicking and losing theirs perhaps you don't fully comprehend the situation.

First thing you do when lost.
Stop what you are doing (Your quote: "people all around are panicking and losing theirs" - that is usually what people do when lost.
Sit down for a short while and do not think of the panic. Calm yourself. After 10-15 minutes then start thinking of what to do. Have you eliminated being afraid lost -nope - but you put it in its place.

I do think logically and that is why I am afraid.

If you don't see it I do not want to be the one to shatter your sense of comfort and well being.

I'd also recommend that you refrain from watching or reading any of those so-called unbiased news sources such as CNN, Wash Post and a host of other truth spinners. The truth isn't so bad, it's what they do to it that is scary when you consider these politico creeps can actually get by with with it. What does that say about our collective intelligence and our ability to read and reason?

My question is what are you afraid of. Your answer could take many forms such as fear of dying of cancer, drowning, small spaces, fear of losing a loved one, fear of going blind, fear the grocery store will not have your favorite cookie in stock, fear of firearms, fear of being robbed, fear of being raped, fear of fire, fear of being alone, fear of someone leaving you, fear of getting older and so on.

Your answer of, If you don't see it I do not want to be the one to shatter your sense of comfort and well being, has no meaning to me. You have no idea what I am afraid of. Nor should it matter as I did not make a general statement as you did. I am basically not afraid of much to speak of. When my fears arise, such as seeing a rattlesnake in very close proximity to my leg, I kill the snake and then my fears are over again. We all generally tend to handle our fears as they arise and move on.

I have never watched CNN in my life nor do I watch similar programs. I don't read any papers, don't have time. Our collective intelligence depends, for all of us, on what the subject matter is.

Just this morning I saw a report from the justice department that a man has come forward, with a male witness, saying it was he who had the sexual assault contact with Blasey Ford in the house 36 years ago. His male witness says the man is telling the truth. Just yesterday a woman who had accused Judge Kavanaugh of raping her, said she had lied to support the Democratic Party. In reality she had never even met Kavanaugh. It seems the Democrat assault on Judge Kavanaugh is falling apart, little by little and that Kavanaugh was totally innocent of all charges. Yet nobody from the Democratic Party has come forth to apologize. I doubt they ever will. The Hollywood types who swore that women should always be believed are not saying much either even though it seems that every woman who testified against Kavanaugh was a liar who should be put on trial.

Collective intelligence should dictate that from Diane Feinstein (at least) down to the lowliest Democrat who swore that Kavanaugh was guilty should be apologizing to him, begging forgiveness. But we know that won't happen. Unfortunately collective intelligence has not much to do with collective responsibility.

Not sure what your point is but your fourth and fifth paragraphs demonstrate quite well what we should all recognize and be afraid of----unfortunately many don't.

OMG. Let's start at the beginning. You said, I do think logically and that is why I am afraid.

I asked what you are afraid of. I gave some examples and here we are with you not sure what MY point is. In the meantime you still don't seem to know what you are afraid of. Your answers have me wondering who is on 1st base. I'm done now.
