Very Heavy. Lest we forget, do not repeat. The Germans would make the people do the deed or die. Russians Japanese also. Not a good time in human history. Nice remembrance of what not to do. My grandfather is 96 and still alive. Patton's third army. Met my refuge grandmother in Belgium in '44. My wife is Latvian and I've been to Europe twice. God Bless America. AND, All the people who also want to be free from tyranny of any kind on this world we all have to live on. Thank you....

The muslims seem to be on the same path.

It's two cities. One city, Budda is on one side of the river. The second, Pest, is on the opposite side of the river.

Just a little behind the times there traderjohn. You are correct with your description of the districts but it's not now two cities, it's 1 city with two distinct districts. Buda and Pest merged together in 1873. Nonetheless, like I said earlier, Budapest is a beautiful city.

It is a greater tragedy to denigrate the monument put up to remember the victims

Yeah. Latvia was no fun either in this thing we call human history. Tanks are still in the forests there for all to remember there....

Lest we forget. The people who stood in those shoes had no choice. The end was right here right now. Bullitt , hanging or drowning....That was your choice...
