Any thoughts, other than being chastised for telling Erich a few days ago that I preferred realistic photos and then I turn around and do this?

Being new here I don't know if I'm supposed to say this but technique aside, I don't like it. It's too busy, with no point for my eye to focus on.

I like the effect in the water, but not in the trees themselves. I do think the image is pretty busy, and this effect seems to make it busier. So maybe a lighter touch, perhaps? I also like reality, but when I first looked at this, my immediate thought was, "what a great way to 'fix' my shaky shot!" Not sure I like it enough to do that, though!
So how did you do that?
I like it. It resembles an oil on canvas more than a snapshot.
