Thanks AzPicLady. I had never seen the bottoms either. When I did, it was pretty obvious which group I was seeing. I liked the shots where they were close enough to avoid atmospheric distortion, but I think my favorite view was of them climbing then tipping over the top and sliding down in a waterfall of smoke. Those shots just aren't as sharp as I'd like. I appreciate your viewing and commenting and hope you have a satisfying photo week. jak

If want to see a great show by the Thunderbirds, get to graduation at the Air Force Academy. Always the Wednesday after Memorial Day in Colorado Springs. If you can’t access the facility, just park across I25 and you still get a great view.
