I updated my Adobe Photoshop CC 2018 and now I have two Adobe Photoshop CC programs - 2018 and 2019. Both seem to work as intended. Interesting. I was under the impression that an update would uninstall older versions. I guess not. I do not see it as an issue to solve, but I may uninstall 2018 after being assured everything behaves as expected.

My Windows version deleted CC 2018 with the update to CC 2019.

LOL, I'm not going to go back to a restore point to verify this but, I believe you're given an option to keep the old version or delete it, at the beginning of the update.
That's probably becasue you are obedient and loyal!! I'm a bit of a rebel.
Thanks, Bill.

I tend not to watch the machinations of installations and updates. You are probably correct.
Thanks,
Mark

You can have multiple versions of PS CC installed. Only one can run at the same time on the same computer if I recall correctly.
I just tried opening 2018 while 2019 was running. You are correct!!
Thanks.

Mark, that is an internet myth promoted by trolls. In fact, there is one guy that just yesterday asserted that when he upgraded his adobe software it wiped out all previous versions. My experience is similar to yours. I just deleted Photoshop CC, the first version of CC, about a month ago.
I suppose they do that so that if they have new locations for various user files, like scripts, macros, presets, etc, you can find them and move them to their new locations. Given the source of the assertion, I am sure that it was something he did (or didn't do) that deleted his previous installations.
Thanks, Gene! You are among my most trusted sources.
BTW: Loving the RX10 IV. You were so right!!

I too have both versions now - my machine was set for "auto update". However 2019 doesn't seem to have Print Studio Pro added on. I get that cleared up I will uninstall 2018. I do 99+% of my printing from LR but it might as well be in 2019 just in case.

You need to install PSP again. You can just go to the 2018 plugin folder and copy the PSP folder to 2019. Or copy the entire plugin folder.

When I went from PS5 to PS6 both versions were left on the computer.
When I get a notice to install an Adobe update, I click on the "advanced" check box of the update, which brings up another menu allowing me to select "remove previous versions". I've tried both ways, first I didn't check the "remove previous versions" selection, and ended up with both my older LR6 and the newer LR Classic on my system. Later after I was comfortable with the LR Classic, on my next update, I selected the "remove previous version" and sure enough, LR6 was removed and LR Classic was updated. We are in control of our systems! This also worked with PS, and several other Adobe products we have at work.

My install replaced CC 2018. A warning message popped up just before the install that 2019 would replace 2018

My system is set to ask if I want to delete the previous version or keep it.
