No, I didn't take any photos, I took two lots of video with two different cameras.

Probably not the best thing to admit to on a photography site!

I'll have a look and see if there are any stills I can take from either video

Yes, do have a look and share with us.

This was a still that I lifted out of the video taken with a little Sony action cam, but it was only taken in 1080p and not 4k, so it's not as sharp as it could be.

Also at this point the train was doing at least 50mph having just crested the rise out of St.Erth station.
I was only about 8' away from the train when it went past - it was like an earthquake going past!

I'll have a look at the video from the other camera and see if I can find one that's any better.

Thanks for sharing the photo. I do like these trains and I know of the problems with taking them and you have got a better shot than I did when it went to Minehead about 2 years ago.

I know of a professional photographer who hires a train and he and a group of photographers stages the shot over one of the famous viaducts in Scotland. The train goes back and forth until they get the perfect shot with steam, clouds etc., and it costs them thousands of pounds for the privilege.

Here's one taken from the DSLR, which is not as sharp the Sony.

I put this little video on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zb5JEqoesQg&t=1s

It's nothing special, except that the train driver was waving to us.

These are a few of ones I took at Bodmin & Wenford this summer.

I'm afraid I'm a bit of a sucker for black and white photos!
