I'm waiting for the first or second point revision of Mac OS 10.14 Mojave before I upgrade.

The update to iOS 12 on my iPhone has been the smoothest ever. However, there are a few "jumping around" annoyances when trying to cut and paste in the reply dialogs of UHH.

I'm pretty cautious. I'm still debating over how to update my iMac first, with more RAM and an SSD. My outboard drives are all MacOS Extended Journaled format. I'm not sure I want to reformat them to APFS...

I just installed the new OS MOJAVE on my mac. So far it hasn't affected the operating of my computer at all. I am still trying to see everything MOJAVE can do, but for the present it is ok as far as i can tell.

The software for my old Pacific Image Scanner is 32 bit and apparently won't work on Mojave. So I am trying to sort that out before I update to Mojave. I would hate to have to buy a new scanner just to update the OS. Although mine is old enough it might be a good idea to buy a new one, but if it ain't broke...

FWIW: Externals remain journaled unless you specifically convert to APFS. The internal, even if a fusion converts to APFS as default.

I've had similar problems when the iPhone is recharging. Unplugged charge cable & jumping stopped.

Just curious. Why would you have to reformat to APFS?

If you do upgrade, make sure you backup your old software and make a bootsable clone. If the new OS causes your mac to go south, you can reboot ftom the clone.
