I'm not joining the fray. However the "Australia Problem" does not exist in a thorough reading of the Bible. The Flood is Genesis chapter 6. In chapter 10 the earth was divided into continents.

Apparently you did not read or understand my post. I don't have to be St. Peter to have written what I wrote. I firmly believe in my heart that I will be standing before God, and or St. Peter, on Judgement Day. Apparently you don't believe in the Bible, God or everlasting life. No problem with me. That is your choice. Over the years you may change your mind. It has happened before to others. At one time I openly hated God after the death of my children. Then something happened that changed my mind, let me know without a doubt that He was there for me. I have not wavered since though I am still a sinner.

GOD = GOOD ORDERLY DIRECTION
BIBLE = a book written by several different people over a very long period of time that includes some history as well as writings by several unsubstantiated authors that according to some Biblical scholars changed their writings a great deal between on "book/letter" and another. Ad those to the totally impossible sections - for example the man in the great fish, Adam and Eve, the Arc and the list goes on.
IMHO- Harvey who studies before he believes.

Thanks so much for your contribution to the discussion Harvey. But those of us who are Christians will be happy to tell you to shove your suggestion in a dark hole. As long as there is freedom of religion in America we will make our own decisions. You are certainly free to make your own decisions as well. But why does it bother you non believers that we believe? Something you might want to ask yourself. Trust me, we really don’t care about your opinion.

It really does not bother me too much that you as adults have "came to believe" but what really bothers me is how the Biblical believers can and do continue to pass this 4,000 plus year old drivel to the children as "truth". I once ask a Children's Bible studies teacher - who was the pastor's wife about who these people were who wrote the books of the Bible and how they knew they were true - with the biggest Doe Eyes I ever saw she replied - Oh they were inspired men. Don't get me too far into your dislike list without knowing that I do believe there is some kind of God/Energy out there but not the one of the Bible/Book of Fairy Tales. Church leader all over the world are wondering why the numbers are falling in Churches - the truth is there are more and more like myself.
I have been active in and around churches for 29 yrs not because I believe but because I do know the good they do for the people of the communities. I just don't let my non belief hinder the good I can do with them.

worse is when fundamentalists get their warped view taught as science in public schools! the same folks would probably oppose having a comparative religion course in those schools.
