I’ve seen embarrassment and people wishing the ground would open and swallow them, but nothing as great as this.

Sad! She was young! My mother was 49 - my Dad 41 - my brother was 2 1/2. Those experiences had a huge impact on me. It made me strong and to appreciate life!

Years ago my sister was stopped at a light and her car died, she was trying to restart it, and the guy behind her was exercising his horn. She walked back to his car and told him maybe he could start her car and she would be more than happy to sit in his and work the horn.

Love it!

Reverse and accleration is how I feel, but I tend not to act impulsively.

As a Christian, I just don't find it funny. People usually don't find jokes funny that are made at them or their groups. That's why Polock jokes went out of style as being not being politically correct. So get off your high horse, Merlin, if a Christian would not find this funny. Sad.

I have met a few folks that are so heavenly minded that they have become no earthly use at all.

I guess it's just the "I'm more Christian than You" attitude ??

Many well-intentioned drivers around here have started the practice of stopping at red lights about 30' behind the car in front of them. That often effectively blocks people from entering a left-turn lane and can cause them to wait for an entire cycle of red/green lights before they can procede.

"Many well-intentioned drivers around"
Are they really "well intentioned"? That's difficult for me to understand.

Well, they intend to get where they are going and (seem to) think they are being ever so cautious and careful. They don't intend to get rear-ended at the light and be part of a chain reaction accident. Good intentions, not so good drivers.

Thanks for the explanation. I think it is possible to be well intentioned, courteous and be a good driver. Have they all disappeared from view?
