You may be right. I've read they recently eliminated unlimited storage with 1TB being the new limit. However, it appears for us old users may have been grandfathered in with unlimited storage which was the option when I signed up 7 years ago. When I check how much storage I've used, it still tells me I have unlimited storage. To date I have 13,575 photos taking up 37.26 GB. It may take awhile to get to 1TB. Thanks for pointing this out, I wouldn't have known otherwise.

I lied... I have 9.59 GB of images for 5,580 photos and mine says unlimited

Your statistics will tell you your exact storage usage. I do not post full-resolution images anywhere online. At 11.7 GB with 6,368, I have yet reached 1% of an available terabyte.

I have nearly 44,000 photos but they only take up 77GB (I do only JPEG).

When I went "Pro" Flickr was not allowing "free" users to have the hierarchical structure of their Albums into Collections, and those into higher-level Collections, a feature that I find very useful. It would be very tedious for me and others to have to wade through a thousand Albums to find pictures of specific subjects--the ability to group them at several levels is very convenient. I don't know if that feature has been made available to the "free" users now or not, but if not it is certainly worth paying for a subscription (at least to me).

Those are some mighty big photo files. I have 50,000 pics on my HD and only use 366 GB, averaging 7 MB each. My rough math says each of your photos would have to be over 179 MB each. What format are you shooting and saving in?

How does it compare to Zenfolio? Anyone with any experience with both?

What is your standard for that?

I've been a member since 2006, or so the stats say. They might be mistaken but it has been awhile. I've been pro for most of that time. My stats say that I have 1.28GB of unlimited space used and that is with 1,254 images posted. I used to post at web ready resolution but I haven't for awhile and it doesn't seem to affect anything. Flickr was once run by Yahoo but has since been sold to SmugMug. There have been glitches with the change in ownership but it still feels good going there. It's like having a community to go to while people appreciate your work. There are some amazing photogs from around the world who post on Flickr. For me it's a good place to go.

Are you asking for recommended pixel resolution guidelines and software techniques for online posting? Try these ideas:

Thanks everyone for the response. I've been away from my computer for a few days. I have no real excuse for signing up other than I had a upload problem from LR CC and I thought that might cure it.
