Without thinking, I signed up for Flickr Pro. It is an extra $50/year instead of the free version. Now I'm wondering, is it worth it?

What does the pro version do that the plain version does not?
Is there any benefit from the pro version for you?

Here are the reasons the Flickr people think it's worth upgrading:

The no advertising and statistics make a difference to me. The 15% discount on the Adobe Creative Cloud is one I was not aware of, thanks Linda!

Why didn't you consider that, before putting up the dough? Really curious, because that's such a simple thing to do!

That discount on CC is old and no longer available. But currently, if you have CC you can get a 25% discount on FlickrPro.

And...a Pro account gives you unlimited storage.

Yeah, and $50... not exactly pocket change. Before shelling out that kind of money, I definitely would want to know in full detail what I'm getting in return.

Those discounts would pay the $50 - if the offers are useful to the purchaser - which they could well be. It certainly shows what is available.

Do you have Adobe CC or any other editing products? That $50 is chump change compared to a lot of software costs or other photo sharing sites...

Also, I don't think they promise unlimited storage. They might let you go over the 1TB limit, but it is not guaranteed.

Your statistics will tell you your exact storage usage. I do not post full-resolution images anywhere online. At 11.7 GB with 6,368, I have yet reached 1% of an available terabyte.
