These are varied shots of the same sprig of miniature mums. I just used different crops, backgrounds and processing to vary the look. Little projects like this are keeping me entertained during a kitchen remodel which is anything but entertaining!

Nice set but I really like the black background. It helps to bring out the subject. Well done.

I like #3. The bit of texture in the background makes me think of sheer curtains gently billowing in a spring breeze

Sorry about your remodel. I've never endured, but I've never heard of one that was glitch-free either.

Thank you, George! I mostly do black backgrounds but like experimenting.

These are beautiful! What appeals to me in all of these is the way you maintained that subtitle shift from yellow to white. Wishing you the best with the kitchen remodel....the best would be to go away and not return until it is finished.

Thank you, Linda. Actually the texture is a sheer curtain without the spring breeze. I pull the blinds up out of the way and temporarily hang the sheer when I want to shoot with it.

Right now, we have no kitchen at all - nada. You don't fully appreciate it until it's gone!

Thank you, Phil. The coloring is very subtle in the flowers so it took some play in processing to keep it looking natural. The largest of these little mums is only about an inch across.

Unfortunately the kitchen won't be completely finished until the first week of November. We're going to eat out a lot!
