Was down in Virginia Beach this past weekend for my son's birthday and heard that the HMS Queen Elizabeth (http://www.dailypress.com/news/military/dp-nws-hms-queen-elizabeth-20180917-story.html) aircraft carrier was in port in Norfolk. Took a quick side trip to the naval base and saw not only this unique aircraft carrier but also the HMS Monmouth (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Monmouth_(F235)). Here are a few photos that I took.

Dave, fantastic set of photos. The unique carriers that England has limited them to Harrier jets which are just as unique.

Super shots! Quite the ship. If I remember right, I read somewhere they were using American aircraft initially on this magnificent carrier. Don't know if that's still the case.

I think we are leasing F35's, whatever it is it's American, very pricey and viewed by many (inc. Americans) as not good value for money. I think your development of our Harrier might have been a better way to go.
