What part of "we have a dairy trade surplus with Canada" don't you understand? There are certain dairy products that don't have a high tariff and American dairy has shifted to them. Politically, a Canadian PM cannot give ground on the dairy tariffs.

If you bothered to notice, you would see that I posted before you did, so I couldn't have seen your post about the surplus. Still doesn't matter. Free trade is free trade on both sides of the deal!

I'm outta here!

What product have you stopped purchasing that you purchased in 2010? 2000? Prices have gone up since then, have you stopped buying gas? Meat? Bread? Maple syrup? When I produced maple syrup in late 1980,s I sold it for (at a profit) $15/gallon. Now it sells for way over twice that. Production is up, Demand is up. VOODOO? We often look at short term effects rather than long term affects. There is a difference. Either a product will have value and continue to sell, or it won't (horse/buggy whips) and it won't. The market will prevail, always has, always will.

Your topic got moved to "the attic" where it belongs. I looked at your history, you have not, as far as I have seen, posted a single image. Why are you here????

He's here to post the things he posts and to read what others post, which is perfectly acceptable, unless you are the new czar of UHH and have changed the rules.

Yesterday I stop to see a friend about something, he was rebuilding his father maple syrup builder. He putting in all new equipment. One part of the equipment he was putting in yesterday. It was made in Canada, so he had to pay $1,500 tariff on it. I came be in Canada by car in a half hour. So a lot of goods come in from Canada here. The best of maple syrup equipment come from Canada. Maple syrup making is a second income for people up here in Northern New York. Thank to Trump and his tariffs that second income will be cut back big time.

It's part of doing business. You need equipment so why don't you try buying American equipment. You can't really say that no American company out there makes equipment like this. If so, why don't you have your friend go into business making such equipment and selling it in America.

The whole point of these tariffs is that we export American made goods and they tax the s**t out of them and nobody in other countries wants to buy them because they are so expensive. So we do the same to get Americans to buy or build American products. Keep our money here instead of in other countries.

My friend does not own a steel mill. Items he purchase are made of nickel and chrome You known anyone who has a nickel mine for sale. Chrome come from Africa. I think. He like everyone else he buy from who can give him the best deal. The dearer ship is a America company. Let face it, Trump has piss on the America people and you are stand with a tin cup crying for more.
