Actually for all of my photography needs I use the store Photo Connection in Colchester. Kind of makes me think of how much do I need something before driving to purchase it.

Nice little shop. I think somebody in Maine said that you can't get there from here!
Due for a little trip to Audubon in Pomfret one of these days! PM if you ever head that way!

Awhile ago there was a lot of discussion (most of it complaining) about the delivery service from B&H changing from "Brown" to FedEx. I just received my second delivery via FedEx from B&H and I couldn't be more pleased. I made the on line order this past Friday very late or early Saturday, they packed and FedEx picked it up on Sunday and it was delivered here this afternoon (Wednesday). As a retired over the road driver I know that Fed didn't mess around with my box, it got here ASAP. Thanks B&H and thanks FedEx.

And thank you for taking the time to say so. Very gratifying!

I ordered a camera and extra battery from B&H. They were shipped in two different packages on 9/6. The camera was shipped "expedited delivery" and arrived 9/10. The battery was shipped "standard delivery" and still hasn't arrived as of 9/19.

Please contact cs@bhphoto.com. Include the original order number.

Why do you call UPS (3 characters) Brown (5 characters) but you call FedEx, FedEx, not White?

Because I spent 29 years as an over the road truck driver and UPS is known (on the road) as simply "Brown". Number of characters has nothing to do with it...

U-P-S is three syllables. Brown is (technically) only one (brau̇n). So Brown is shorter that U-P-S, while FedEx is alreay only two. And while FedEx trucks are white, so are a lot of other major company trucks. UPS's big brown truck is a known quantity and gets to be called brown.

Did I really just spend time constructing this explanation? I must be really bored.

I took the time to read it, but I'm not bored and simply procrastinating as I ponder today's chores. Retirement is tough.

You are one of the luck ones. In my area, the brown truck rules. FedEx service is terrible for my area and I don’t live in a rural area!
