B&H and FedEx

Awhile ago there was a lot of discussion (most of it complaining) about the delivery service from B&H changing from "Brown" to FedEx. I just received my second delivery via FedEx from B&H and I couldn't be more pleased. I made the on line order this past Friday very late or early Saturday, they packed and FedEx picked it up on Sunday and it was delivered here this afternoon (Wednesday). As a retired over the road driver I know that Fed didn't mess around with my box, it got here ASAP. Thanks B&H and thanks FedEx.

You don't say where you had it shipped to.

I've had at least 50 orders shipped via UPS from B&H. If I order by 3pm, I almost always receive it the next business day. With FEDX, it's two or three days. One was a signature required and they logged it as nobody home. I live on a cul-de-sac and was home all day and can hear every vehicle and see most. There is never an order that I am in a rush to get, so it's no big deal, but the service is not as good.

I always dread a UPS shipment. They often deliver my packages to the "same address number" on a different street in my neighborhood, i.e., to the wrong recipient. Thus far I've been lucky and my neighbors seem to be honest! The numbering on the streets run parallel. And unlike the USPS, UPS does not use the +4 to the Zip to get it to the correct part of the streets. I think my short street has four +4 numbers. People need to READ the street names!

UPS delivers strictly based on the rate the sender pays. If it get to the delivery point in may area it may just sit there two or three days until it matches the paid delivery service and what the sender was first told. The USPS just moves things as fast as possible. If you paid cheap media mail rate and the recipient is nearby they don't mess around with it for two weeks, they'll deliver it in three or four as if it were First Class. I track my packages so I see all the BS going on!

My orders from B&H are never that fast from NYC, I live in Calif! But Amazon Prime is usually two days with Sunday delivery! In my area they have their own drivers now.

B&H didn't even process your order until Sunday - closed on Saturdays - so, it was even better service than you thought! β˜ΊπŸ‘

I ordered a camera and extra battery from B&H. They were shipped in two different packages on 9/6. The camera was shipped "expedited delivery" and arrived 9/10. The battery was shipped "standard delivery" and still hasn't arrived as of 9/19. The tracking number in the email from B&H shows it travelled from New Jersey to Tennessee in 24 hours but has not moved since then. It shows a status of "pending" and "no delivery date scheduled."
I talked to FedEx on 9/17 and they said they would open a ticket. Today marks 13 days and still not delivered.

Some of my orders are split because of where they are warehoused separately. NJ is one of the other warehouses.

Believe me when I tell you my wife will beat out your dog. She can sniff out a B&H shipment pretty darn quick!

No, we have FedEx and DHL too. They thus far have never miss delivered. UPS has done so at least 4 times. I'm out on the East edge of Los Angeles Co.,CA. USPS is the United States Postal Service, if you want to pay for Priority or Express Mail they are Extremely fast and accurate with these items they track. Regular mail, well I hear USPS employees are no longer required to pass the Civil Service Exam and thus many delivery people seem to have dyslexia.

Not a fan of big Brown. Reminds me of something else "brown".

Over the years we've had hundreds of deliveries from both UPS and FedEx and I don't recall ever having a problem with either of them.

Ya, I forgot to mention, I live in Wisconsin. I can't say that Brown actually screwed up a delivery, it just seems I get my stuff delivered quicker via FedEx than Brown. USPS is spotty; can't really count on timely delivery.

Just before Labor Day I purchased some Datacolor calibration tools from B & H. Since it was a holiday weekend they would ship them on Tuesday with a Friday delivery. To my surprise, FedEx dropped them off in Nevada on Wednesday.
