I did. I was contacted by someone from Disney. I wrote back explaining I took the pictures on my front lawn of characters that were 3-4 feet tall that I cut out of plywood. My wife painted them. They were designed for Christmas. A week or so later someone from Disney showed up at my house telling me to take them down. I expected this.

I invited them in and showed them the Do It Yourself project in the Popular Mechanics DIY Encyclopedia. It was authorized by Disney and actually put together by Fred MacMurray. They apologized for the inconvenience, said they liked the way the came out, and never said anything about the extra characters I added.

The funny thing is, I don't know where they saw the picture in the first place or how they found me. I never thought to ask.

Wait, wait, wait.... You didn't know that Disney knows and sees all? Do you believe anything in their parks happens by accident? LOL

Better ask McDonalds! By the way, I have never seen a single bow rainbow!

Then you are a very lucky person, or you haven't seen many rainbows.

Had a Rare opportunity to get many photographs of a double rainbow over the Golden Arches of the local McDonalds early yesterday morning which I always go to for coffee.. Is there a market for these photos and how much?

As much as you can get someone to pay. No formula. You should see the picture that someone paid over a million dollars for. It's a piece of junk but someone else liked it enough to pay a lot of money for it.

There is a market for anything if one understands marketing.

The Only MacDonalds that DOES NOT.. have Golden Arches is in Arizona, Sedona to be exact. When MACADEES wanted to build in Sedona, the city council voted no because of the Garish Arches. So, the MacDonalds in Sedona has Turquoise Arches and pale pink stucco architecture. Look up golden arches in images on your computer. Sedona Won Out!

That ploy did not work in a local tourist community here in Central Oregon, and the town backed down after a lengthy struggle.MacDonalds won!

No other MacDonalds in the world is without it's Golden Arches, ugly as they may be.

I'm not too sure about that. In the town where I grew up:

I showed the shift mgr the pictures in the camera and he said he saw the rainbow also.

And so? What point are you making. So you captured a rainbow. We probably all have. Why do you think your image has any commercial value, and to who?

There are thousands of McDonald's in cities all over the world that don't have arches at all.

Probably figured, and he could be correct, due to its location. Commercial establishments sometimes see something they like and will pay for it.

" double rainbow over the Golden Arches "

Artie Morris got thousands of dollars of a picture of a feather. He found a dead bird on the side of the road. The picture didn't impress me, but an airline exec in Canada was impressed.

You never know!
